Subject:How do I get beatmapper wizard to see 3/4 time

Hi I am using Sony Acid Music Studio 7. on Windows Vista on a Sony Vaio VGN laptop. I set up an empty project. and Set project time signature to 3/4 time. When I try to import my WAV track the BeatMapper wizard detects the beats and tempo very well, but insists on a measure containing 4 beats. How do I get it to see that the track is 3/4 time? Oh, my .WAV file was created on my little Edirol R-09 recorder, if it matters. Thanks, Al Message last edited on5/18/2010 9:02:03 PM byguitaral. |

I don't think the Beatmapper Wizard itself can work with 3/4 time but I know that you change the time signature by going into the clip's properties afterward under the "Stretch" tab. (Note I'm referring to ACID Pro 7; not sure if Music Studio 7 has this feature or not.) HTH, Iacobus |

Thanks for your help lacobus, I was afraid this might be something that might be available in the "Pro" versions, but I was hoping someone here could give me definitive answer on the 3/4 time question. I wouldn't mind even upgrading if I knew it was supported, But I'm not feeling good right now about how I would ever get answers to questions like this. Does anyone from Sony Software participate on this forum or is it just users? Thanks, Al |
