Subject:Beatmapper Wizard ?

Hi all,

Can someone please tell me how I can call up the beatmapper wizard on a track with a keyboard command or mouse click, etc ? I can't seem to find it in the manual and it's getting tiresome to delete the track, close the project, reopen the project and redrag the file, just to open a wizard.

Thanks,

Tede

Hello,

No problem When you have the beatmapped track in the track view double click on the track icon and that will bring up track properties then click the stretch tab and you'll see a button that says Beatmapper Wizard.

Thanks Rockitglider, but if the file isn't already beatmapped, do I have to go change preferences to less than 30 seconds, just to get the wizard for setting the downbeat, etc ? Seems like there oughta be a faster way..

BM Wizard can be used on any file of any length by changing it's type to BeatMapped and using the wizard.

Hi Tony,

Yes, I know that. I'm trying to find out how to "invoke" the wizard manually. For example on all MS apps, there's a menu choice somewhere to start your wizard of choice.

Thanks,

Tede

Hello again,

The only thing I could find out is that the manual says when you're in the track properties the stretch tab is the same as the beatmapper without the wizard

Hi Rockitglider,

Yes, but I believe that the button is only available if the loop is already beatmapped.

Have you figured out a way to print selection out of the pdf manual ? (like the keyboard command page for example) My "selection" button is grayed out on the pdf reader and I really don't want to spend the money to print all 200+ pages.....it'd cost more than Acid 3. in print cartridges.

Thanks for looking into the wizard question. I guess the final answer would be "no."

The Stretch tab allows you to specify how ACID will handle pitch shifting and time stretching for loops or Beatmapped tracks. After you've edited a file's properties, click the Save button to embed ACID information in the file.

Hold Ctrl while clicking the Save button to save your changes to a new file.

If you save stretching properties to a new file, the changes will also be applied to the current track and saved with the ACID project; the changes are not saved to the original file.

If you edit a file in another audio-editing program, it is possible that the ACID-specific data will be removed. Simply edit the settings on the Stretch tab to optimize the file again.

Right-click and drag a file to the Track View or Track List to specify the type of track that will be created. When you drop the file, a shortcut menu is displayed that allow you to choose whether the file will be treated as a loop, one-shot, Beatmapped track, or as an autodetected type.

I think you can tell it what you want it to be
