Adding background media

Hi - I am trying to put together a promotional video and could do with a bit of help on one issue,

The basic idea is to shoot me taking in front of greenscreen then replace this with a white background. I think I am ok with this bit.

I then want to be able show in the white area content from a powerpoint presentation - this to have a pure white background so only the logo and text/pics appear, as if projected on the apparent white wall behind me.

Any ideas on the best way to achieve this? I am a newbie so would appreciate simple explanations!

Tks

Why replace the greenscreen with a white background? Why not just replace it with the powerpoint slides to begin with?

How do I do that? I am not sure how to import the slides!

Thanks

Export the slides from your app in the PNG or JPEG format, and then import them on Vegas. Then, use the "pan/crop" tool (shows as a little cross on the right side of each event in the timeline) and "track motion" (it's one of the icons in the track's controls on the left of the timeline).

There is also freeware that will turn the PP file into a video file. I'll try to let you know what programme will do that tomorrow.

As Eugenia said, do a Save As in Power Point and choose JPEG as the file type. All slides will be saved into a folder as individual JPEGs.

I've never done it that way. Sounds right though. The program I use to change PP into video is E. M. Power Point Video Converter. If any one knows a better one I'd appreciate him or her letting me know about it.
