Subject:Fading music up and down for voiceover

I am recording a podcast and want to be able easily drop the volume of a theme music track when I do a voice over and then push it back up in between talking - repeating as required (like the intro to a radio show I guess). This doesn't seem to be quite as easy as I anticipated. I have done this in Audacity by creating envelopes and fiddling them up and down as required - but it is, errr, fiddly. Is there an easy way to do this? Any advice much appreciated. |

Not sure if this would be perceived as easy but you should be able to insert volume envelopes into the music track, add points, and adjust them accordingly. I'm not at my computer at the moment, so I'm unable to be precise on the process - but that should point you in the right direction. |

Tks for the quick reply, will try that. Sounds similar (i.e fiddly!) to Audacity |

OK, just tried it and it is actually alot easier and less fiddly that I thought it was going to be. Thanks again for the advice - much appreciated. |
