I just got a survey from Native Instruments (I have a LOT of their products) and the first question made me never want to buy another NI product again. Of course it was: Which host software do you primarily use?* Cubase Digital Performer FL Studio Garage Band Kore Live Logic Nuendo Pro Tools LE Pro Tools M-Powered Pro Tools HD Reaper Samplitude Sonar Other:__________ What is their problem? No ACID Pro in the list! They ship specially built plug-ins with ACID Pro what are they brain dead??? They include Magix Samplitude and not ACID? I'm posting to ask all ACID users to please email Native Instruments and tell them how you feel about not having ACID included in their survey and explain that if they don't know ACID exists and don't test their plug-ins with ACID that maybe ACID users should STOP buying and recommending Native Instruments software! BTW, I quit the survey. No need to help a company that doesn't acknowledge the host software that I buy their products for. They are obviously beyond help. (edit: removed the link since it didn't work for anyone but me) ~jr Message last edited on4/28/2010 5:57:44 AM byJohnnyRoy. |

> when i click the link i get "No available surveys" OK, it could be that the email that I received the link in set a cookie which is not in the raw link. I will remove the link from my post but you have the list as it as presented to me. I did receive an email back from NI and they said that they wanted to keep the list short and ACID didn't make the cut off for percentage of users. :( I'm not sure where they get their percentages from, perhaps when you register a product with them. I don't know. I didn't realize we were so "elite". Clearly we know something their other users don't. ;-) ~jr Message last edited on4/28/2010 6:01:14 AM byJohnnyRoy. |

I'll explain in a nutshell: They're German. (And before any of you accuse me of being "ethnically-insensitive", I'm German by ethnicity. So stuff it.) You'll notice there are also not many apps in that list that are Windows-exclusive. (Note how even SONAR is at the bottom of the list.) We can't have that much stinkin' non-Apple stuff on our list, nosirree, Bob! We have pretty electric-pink graphical knobs to turn!!11! (Everyone, quick! Put on your iPods and turn up that U2!) lulz -Iacobus Message last edited on4/28/2010 10:07:05 AM byIacobus. |

Greetings...I use Samplitude as a vst host...and for everything else...except when I use Acid. |

I've dealt with Sony for a lot of years. NI is cooler than Sony. :~) |

2 years ago Reaper would not have been on that list. They also left out Tracktion and EnergyXT |
