Subject:Remix Help Posted by: Xdragon Date:6/7/2001 1:20:47 PM ok i love acid but there is only one problem i am havein remixin.I want to extract the vocals from songs and use em to make remixes.all i find on the internet is remove vocals.i can't fig out how other people do it. Somone please help
Subject:RE: Remix Help Reply by: Zacchino Date:6/7/2001 3:06:59 PM You can't remove vocals or mute instruments in a mp3, or in a wav or on a CD ! Everything is like on 1 track, even with the greatest filter you can't remove 1 instrument. That's the only thing i know for sure

On most of my remixes, I do get the original vocals from the record company but on some (billie holiday and James Brown) I couldn't, but I was hored to do those remixes. So I put the tracks through the Electrix EQ killer. Curve out as much of the track as possibe without completely ruining it and then when you put your tracks over the VOX that you "kind of" isolated, you'll cover up any of the original track that you'd still hear if the original is soloed.
