Hey, I don't know if this is where this should be posted, but I couldn't see anywhere else where this would fit in. I've been trying to make some custom loops for myself, but every time I save them (in mp3 format) and then paint them in a new project I always get a dead zone between the end of one repetition and the next. I've tried re-rendering the music without dead time and even edited it in audacity, but it still appears. Any help on this topic would be very helpful. Thanks. |

I make up loads of loops in soundforge, with no 'dead zone' not sure how to help there, but maybe you could do your loops in the chopper, that's basically what it's there for. |

Thanks 'runman'! I'm still new at this program so I'll look into it. Is there any way to get a loop to 'wrap' around? So that the end fades into the beginning so it can loop seamlessly? |

Simple answer: Never render a loop as MP3. Not only does the lossy format desecrate the sound quality, but MP3s save header information in the file, which usually shows up as a small gap of silence at the beginning of the track. Always render loops to non-lossy formats: WAV or AIF. Death to all MP3s everywhere. |
