I opened a project in 9d 64 bit with titles created in 9c. The titles do not show up any longer, although the event and the data is still there. If I open up a new, blank, pro title file I can copy the text from the old event into the new one.
I have not seen this in 9.0d and I use ProType Titler often. No problem with titles from 9.0c projects converting to 9.0d....
But if the titles DO NOT show up in 9.0d what do you mean by
although the event and the data is still there
How is the "data" still there ? .. And how can you copy something that is not there?
Yes, I've also got projects created in Vegas 9.0c with Pro Titler presets that behave in 9.0d just as you described. The event shows in the timeline but text is not displayed and when you open the title to edit it, a red background is all you see.

Are you certain the project was created in 9.0c? .. 9.0a had a generated media problem where behaviors like this were seen. I, so far, have not seen this in 9.0d with multiple projects created under 9.0b and 9.0c. All my Titles seem fine.
What do you mean by a preset? Does this mean the using one of the "collections" with PTT or does it mean a title you created and then saved as a preset for use again?
Yep, the defecrive titles were originally created in 9.0c using a preset previously created and saved by me. Note: This previously created preset does not show up as a preset in 9.0d
(I also experienced the 9.0a title bug but this is not the same problem)

To clarify -- it is as dcrandall described. I had presets for certain gradients, positions etc. The font data is there. I know where it is supposed to be. I point with the cursor. The box appears and I can copy it into a new pro title box, which is blank. But as described the background is a sort of red and the text doesn't display or key.
Maybe this is easier:
1. I opened a project created in 9c (and yes I'm sure it was 9c) in 9d.
2. Font created using Pro Titler with custom presets does not display. The event is in the time line.
3. If I open the box the background of the font box is red, although it doesn't look that way sitting on the time line. It just looks blank.
4. If I point to where I remember the font was with my mouse and click the box appears.
5. I can then copy the text that is in that box and paste it into a new pro title event (or use if you prefer that term).
