I am trying to insert cue points into a recorded voice using soundforge xp v 4.5, to use with macromedia director 8. I am using a pc, but so far having saved the files as .aif director won't recognise the cuepints/markers. What can I do?

Hey. The company I work for makes educational cd-rom's and webcourses using this method of cue points to bring up bullet points and animations in Director. After I edit the sound file in Sound Forge, I save it as a WAV. file. Then I go into Director and under "Xtras" and select "Convert WAV to SWA". This method converts the WAV files to a SWA file which allows Director to recognize the cue points you used in Sound Forge. The last step is to use the new SWA files in Director the way that you normally would for whatever you're doing. The only down side is that a SWA file is of less quality than a WAV, but it works great for us since most of the stuff we do is sent out over the web. Hope this helps some, there might be a better way to do it, etc....
