Hello Resizing the windows in Acid 7.0e seems to create noise, stuttering. This doesn't includes zoom in or out. I also noticed any opening of new windows, or minimizing the acid program ,while playing a tune in acid cause some noise or stutter of the play back. Is this because of my video card? Ati 4600 series...001.015.000.012 bios. What should I do to remedie, help or solve this? Thanks Les |

Could generally be a driver issue. Did you update the drivers for your video card and your audio interface to see if that helped? Sometimes, having only one hard drive can be troublesome; usually it's best to have another drive used for your media projects so that your system isn't trying to simultaneously access the media in your project while doing system-specific tasks. If soundcard (or Fireewire, or USB) is in slot next to AGP, or shares some resources, that can also often be the cause of such problems. geoff |

You might try going into the settings for the video card and turning Video acceleration down a notch. That seems to solve a lot of issues with display activity interfering with program operation. |

Thanks for the help people... I have changed out an old video card for a newer one. The old one worked fine, and I had no problems with stutter before. PCI x16 1.0. I use ATI products...the older card was a Radeon x1300. The newer card is PCI 2.0. 4670 series..I was told that i could put a 2.0 card on a 1.0 PCI x16 slot....and it would work...?..well it does work...but that things stutter in Acid when moving windows and sliding pains when playing and working on my tunes seems to be a problem now....you'd think things would get better as one upgraded hardware...eh? Latest drivers have been installed...and I have turned everything down in the video card application to the bottom end ...I assume that is correct...?... wonder what happens if I turn it up to full throttle?...would it not be faster?...faster makes less feedback or bottleneck? I have four large hard drives, and I put all my loops and libraries on a dedicated drive for music...So it isn't that...or I should think not anyway. Because I just updated a few things including the update to Acid pro 7.0e...I thought Id see if this can be the problem/issue with the new update? When I do music I turn off the virus stuff...and fire walls too. Not that they ever possed a problem with Acid for me in past testing/usage. I may just put the old card back in...it still is a good card for this PC... Thanks people. God Bless! Sir Les |

Check your audio device latency settings. They may have defaulted when you upgraded to "e". I had a similar problem with "d' at one time and when I upped the audio latency things work a lot better. I too thought it was a video issue...nope audio device settings oddly enough. |
