Are the "buy Acid Pro 2.0, get a free upgrade to Acid Pro 3.0" offers at some music stores currently recognized by Sonic Foundry? And, if they are, is there a catch?

The offer is on almost every Acid Pro 2.0 that was shipped this year, and there is no catch.
