Subject:SoundForge As A Mastering Tool

I have not bought soundforge yet, and am debating about it right now.
I can see that the editing features are extensive and that soundforge supports 24 and 32bit sound files. all very good.
However, I am looking for high quality compression and limiting and i was wondering if these features are built into sound forge?
Also, soundforge supports DirectX plugins. Are there 3rd party manufacturers supporting this format, and are there high quality plug-ins availble for sound forge that i don't see on this web-site. Namely, a tube modeling compressor or limiter plug-in.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Big See.

There is huge support for DirectX plugins. Visit

www.thedirectxfiles.com

for an overview of what's available in many categories (Sonic Foundry and many others) as well as some info on the technology itself.
