Hi since i've subscribed to this newsgroup i haven't found the answer to my issue (even with the help of lots of people -thanx guys-) which was a playback that stutter, and that triggers slowly. So i was wondering, maybe it is my soundcard that causes problems. I have a Maxi Sound Fortissimo, and i noticed that a friend of mine had a Sound Blaster Live (and on his PC it works better). Is it an illusion ? Am i mistaking ? |

The Fortissimo is a very good card- never had a problem with it- and SBLive!, although a great sounding alternative, has caused some older systems to develop random crashes and hangs. That said, I still upgraded, because the SBLive! supports SoundFonts, which allows you to use your computer and MIDI keyboard as a high-quality sampler. If you are a musician (a fair assumption, since you're on this forum), it's a low-cost way to give your MIDI keyboard an unlimited number of new sounds, thousands of which can be found free or cheep on the web. |
