Subject:DV audio cleanup

I have the same kind of problem posed by troy1785 in an earlier posting. We're forced into using the audio track from interviews recorded on a DV camera. There's lots of sibilance, ambient noise, and "popping P's." I'm tempted to start cleaning it up by using the graphic equalizer and maybe goof with the noise gate. Any other ideas would be welcome. Thanks!
