How can I play my FruityLoops and Record my Vocals at the same time? -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:How can I play my FruityLoops and Record my Vocals at the same time? Posted by: rad Date:5/26/2001 9:47:06 PM I wanna be able to play multiple wave files from different sources. ie...Playing a song from FruityLoops and at the same time have another program work and play wav. files such as soundforge to record my vocals. I get: [!The microsoft sound mapper playback device is in use by another app. Close or suspend the app that is using the device and try again.] I can play multiple media player wave files but not in my programs. Why? Can someone help me? Ive seen multiple programs work hand in hand why can't mine.

Reply by: Rockitglider Date:5/26/2001 10:58:45 PM Hello, Some sound cards can only play a certain number of wav programs at a time Make sure you have selected your sound card in options instead of sound mapper then try again, You should go through your option selections carefully in each program you want to run, like Fruity Loops and Sound Forge, but only assign the wav format to one program the others will still play them. Hello,

Some sound cards can only play a certain number of wav programs at a time

Make sure you have selected your sound card in options instead of sound mapper then try again, You should go through your option selections carefully in each program you want to run, like Fruity Loops and Sound Forge, but only assign the wav format to one program the others will still play them.
