Subject:Need advice on which product to buy...

I'm new to the Acid concept and have a question about which product would be best for my needs. I'm primarily looking to use acid to put together drum tracks which I will then transfer over to Pro Tools LE. At the moment, I don't see myself using other types of loops, as I do my own vocals, synth backing and guitar. I might use acid bass, though.

so my question is, what is the cheapest way to get set up using the acid drum loops? Can I just buy one of the drum loop CD's or do I have to buy a seperate program to use the CD's. For example, does the Drum Tools CD come with a program for laying down a drum track, or do you have to buy something like Acid Music in order to use it? And if I do have to buy a seperate program to use the loops CD's, which one would be best for primarily laying down drum tracks and then exporting them into a program like Pro Tools LE?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi, Markgenero. If you go to the front page of the Sonic Foundry web sight and click on "Free Stuff" you can download a copy of Acid Express. I have never personally used it, but I believe you can run up to 8 tracks in it, and if you like it and need more, you could buy Acid Music or one of the other Acid programs.
