Technically speaking, a One-shot is an ACIDized file property; it just doesn't loop and tells ACID to leave your sample the hell alone. :D

There are two ways that I know of to make it so rendered files are One-shots:

1) After the file is rendered, go into its properties and change it to One-shot under the General tab. (This is preferred.)

2) A file is ACIDized according to what's set under "open files as loops if between" option under Options > Preferences > Audio on the menu bar. Anything under the leftmost setting opens as One-shot; anything over the rightmost setting opens as Beatmapped; anything in-between (of course) opens as a Loop.
