Subject:Can Sound Forge do it ???

I got a very long wav file that I need to cut,
Can Sound Forge detect silence and cut the file
automatically ?
I use version 4.5

No...you need to cut it out yourself...it should be easy as
pie to find the spot where its blank...being the wavform
will just be a flat line..

Cakewalk and SONAR can do this.

Actually, Sound Forge has the Auto-Region and Extract-
Regions tools. That'll do it too. Rather easily at that.

Process->Auto-Trim/Crop.
