Obviously I know nothing of this software. I was thinking about getting it, so thought I'd stop here first. I'm looking for something that will record my guitar work and let me layer multi tracks and save as mp3. Is this the right direction? Also, does it actually let you record your own music with different built in instrumentation? I've been reading snippets about synths and all. does anybody have any insight to this program? Thanks. |

You can certainly use it in that way, yes. You'd probably want an audio editor like any of the Sound Forge products to help fix or sweeten the audio. You can practically use any soft synth with ACID but be aware of the different features between the versions of ACID. (For example, ACID Pro can automate VSTi paramaters while ACID Studio cannot. For more info on the differences, click here.) A soft synth can feature anything like a drum sampler or an instrument sampler. ACID Pro itself comes with a couple (Sonoma's KitCore (which is a drum synth) and ARIA (which is an orchestral instrument synth). In addition to all of this, you can use loops and other types of digital audio samples in your projects. Iacobus |
