I have added a case to get 64-bit support for Vegas. Please do the same as I have inside info that many requests will move this up the priority list.

Here's the response I got:

Update for Case # 11653
Stephen,

I am sorry that I cannot provide more details, but unfortunately this is not known information at this time.

Thank you,

Jeremy

What is 64-bit support for Vegas?

"What is 64-bit support for Vegas?"

For these filters to work properly in 64 bit Vegas.

As for sending them a request, I think this is something they should be doing on their own. It's kinda sad that we have to prompt them.

Pestering them worked for Mojo. They are pretty Vegas aware, I say we start the pester campaign!

Somebody start a proper list somewhere and I will gladly put my name on it. I use that application extensively. So much that I can't leave the 32bit OS and I have to keep putting up with the rendering headaches.

C'mon Red Giant, for the love of all things holy, just release the frackin 64bit compliant version of MBL!!!! PLEASE.

Brad, I've read your posts and woes about 64-bit MBL. Frankly, I have the very same thoughts because I, too, use MBL heavily and have exactly the same frustrations.

I actually called Red Giant many months ago and politely inquired into potential development of a 64-bit version for Vegas. I was motivated, in part, by a table on RG's website that suggested a 64-bit version would coming. Alas, I was politely told that (a) the table should be updated and (b) no such version would be developed because there just wasn't the Vegas user base to justify it. I documented my efforts over at dv info dot net.

No surprise, is it?

FWIW, I run 8.0(c) on Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate on a screaming system. I can tell you I have rendering headaches, i.e., crashes or hangs, with projects having MBL as a filter on Cineform avi source media. (So, I render small chunks, then stitch them together in VirtualDub. Works a treat, but my workflow does require a few extra steps.)

Just from reading the above post, is Mojo coming to 64-bit Vegas? Sony Support said they were working on their whole line but couldn't promise if or when for certain products.
