I am currently running AP6 and it works well but I need to do Ableton-like audio stretching (warping) . Does the Elastique Beatmapping tool do this?

If you want to dynamically change the tempo within a given clip without affecting the rest of it, then yes, ACID Pro 7 can do this (which is done at the clip level via the clip properties).
