i am editing some tracks with soundforge. when i snip off
the ends of the
track that have no sound on them and save it, when the
track is reopened sound
forge puts back about .03 of silence on the beginning and
end. why is this and
how can i eliminate it?

If you are saving as mp3, this is normal. When you save as mp3, there is the slightest amount of silence added to the beginning and end of the file.
