I understand that Acid can't extract the vocal track from a song and I understand that it is VERY difficult to practically impossible to extract vocal tracks. Does anyone now where I can get only the vocal tracks to some popular songs or sell good vocal loops???

You might want to check with places that sell karaoke tapes/CD's if you're looking for popular songs.

I have been trying to figure this out for a while.

Napster sometimes has some (very few) Acapela versions.

There are various vocal CD's from SF or Data Becker or Magix but most seem to feature either rap style vocals or female soul type vocals not the more pop style.

One thing that has worked is singing the vocals myself then using Sound Forge and Acid to manipulate them so they sound better than my true voice.
