How would I record what is playing through my computer's speaker streaming from the internet? Also , how would I record the audio of something playing through media player or other file players. On older versions of acid, when the record button was hit a recording options screen popped up. I could select from a drop down what audio source to record from. I know how to select from the "recording input" button, but ??? can't record the audio I hear through the comp speakers. This is completely dependent on the hardware you have. You will need a sound card that has a "what you hear" type input routing. Sound Blasters and built in audio hardware typically have this setting. Note also, that some streaming media is DRM protected, and Windows will prevent you from 'capturing' the output as input. This is rare though. You can always use a patch bay and connect the output of your streaming card to the input of the same card or an ASIO based card. Peter |
