Hello, I have two presets set-up in Sound Forge 10.0a: one inserts 0.5 secs of silence at the beginning of a file, the other inserts 0.5 seconds at the end. However, when I opened Batch Converter and tried to use these presets, the values had changed. Instead of 0.5 secs appearing in the Insert field, 1 sec appeared. I closed Batch Converter, returned to Sound Forge itself, and re-checked the values in these presets and they were still fine: 0.5 secs. I re-opened Batch Converter, added the presets again and they were showing 1 sec again. I had to manually change the presets again within Batch Converter and then it worked. However, now when I go back into Sound Forge, the preset value is now 0.25 secs. Obviously, Batch Converter's values always appear to be double those of Sound Forge's. Is there anyway I can have parity between the two applications regarding presets? For now, I can get around it by having two different presets to do the same thing: one for Sound Forge and one for Batch Converter. I only noticed this with the Insert Silence command, but it may be happening with others. Many thanks. Walt |

Weird. Any chance you're working at different sample rates? Like 44.1 & 88KHz? Jesse |

Hi Jesse, no I'm not working with any weird formats. But the preset doesn't know what you're working on when you're setting it up anyway. The presets I set up in Sound Forge were for 44 kHz, 16 bit, mono WAVs. The presets I was setting up in Batch Converter were for 22 kHz, 48 kbps, 16 bit, mono MP3s. Thanks, Walt |

Is there any change if you have wav files loaded in your batch instead of mp3s? Of course this shouldn't be happening but there are some odd issues with the head and tail of MP3 files sometimes... Jesse |

Hi Jesse, I didn't have any files loaded in the batch when I was setting up the preset. I would probably have had a WAV loaded in Sound Forge itself when I was setting up that preset, though. Cheers, Walt |

Have you submitted this as a support ticket? I'd love to hear the resolution. Jesse |

I didn't know I had to do that, Jesse. I've posted here before and admins have acknowledged the issues and said they'd be fixed in future updates. How I do I raise a support ticket? Thanks, Walt |

To anyone curious to know how this panned out, Sony said they were able to reproduce the error and that it would be fixed in the next patch. Cheers, Walt |
