Subject:Batch Converter request.

Would love to use the batch converter to convert my entire music library to a different format but I cannot get the folder depth to make it happen. Would like to select MY MUSIC folder and have it retain folder structure with the artist and then album folders beneath but as it is now it will no see more than what media files are in the immeadiate folder below. In my case there are no media files in MY MUSIC, only additional artist folders which then have additional album folders as you drill down.

How about having batch converter work on All levels of sub folders in a future update?

Great request. I wonder if you can still make it work...
I think you can drag and drop into batch converter "file open" window. Do a windows search for all your existing files - select all and drag and drop into BC. Then make sure they are saved in their source folder.
I'd test it out first but might work...

This is a huge issue for me and one of the sole reasons that Batch Converter never gets used in Forge over here.

Wavelab's Batch is so much more flexible with the use of wildcards etc - one can literally create any template they want, including formats, bit depths and on and on...and save this combination for any number of uses.

Forge however - is sooooo limited from pointing the batch to the right place to file naming and don't even get me started on saving metadata to the resultant file. Obviously - this piece of the application has never been battle tested in the radio broadcasting or post world where massive flexibility is a requirement when creating files.

How about adding the ability to select and delete multiple files via the keyboard 'Delete' button? Currently, you have the option to either delete one or all of the files via the 'Remove' button only.

Good ideas, really. And what really annoys me with the batch converter is that it does not use the same presets as the plugin-chainer. Once you've created and optimized your chain of plugins, you need to recreate everything from scratch if you want to use your settings in the batch converter ... that's far from comfortable ... :(
