What am I doing wrong?? I purchased Sound Forge 5.0 when it first came out, got it installed, and loved it. It was an upgrade from Sound Forge 4.5. My hard drive crashed, and I had to rebuild from scratch... I installed 5.0, and put in the old activation code I had from before, and it gave me the above message. So I went to the web site, and clicked on the Register button, and put in all the info again, including the old activation code I was given, and it sent me a new email with activation key... I double-clicked on that reg file, and added it to the system registry, ran the program again, and it asked me for the serial number... So I thought maybe I need to download 5.0b, so I did that, installed it, and the same message "The number you have entered is invalid". So I re-registered, thinking that 5.0b may need a new number -- got the new one in email, and double-clicked on it, and got the same thing... "The number you have entered is invalid" So I uninstalled 5.0b, Installed Sound Forge 4.5, then Installed 5.0 again, and tried it, and again, same problem: "The number you have entered is invalid" So now I'm stuck! My paid for software is worthless because my hard drive died!! What do I do? Thanks! Eric |
