hi, i'd like to use the Zoom H4n as an interface. the "Zoom H series audio driver" has appeared in my control panel so i'm assuming the driver install was successful. from there i connected the H4n to my pc's usb port and went to AMS> Options> Preferences> Audio devices and looked for the H4n under the Audio Device Type scroll down menu but it did not appear on the list. can anyone offer help with how to set up and use the H4n as an interface for AMS? or general pointers on interfaces like these? t h a n k s ! |

Here's how I would approach that: 1. Install any drivers provided by the manufacturer. If you received an install disc, start there. If not, I would search the manufacturer's website for any driver downloads. 2. Connect the device to your PC. I believe that device has a USB connection. 3. Make sure the device is ready to interact with your PC. I think you can find instructions on navigating the menu structure on the device by downloading the manual and going to pages 33/34. Manual download here: http://s3.amazonaws.com/samsontech/related_docs/H4n-manual.pdf 4. This article talks about how to set up for recording and playback within ACID. This article explains how to set your preferred audio device within Windows. Good Luck! Message last edited on2/17/2010 11:36:58 AM byMSK. |
