Wavelab can recognise DAT tape indexes and mark them in the resulting wav, when recording thru a digital interface. I can't find any reference on how to do this in SF. Is it possible, and if not, when ? PS I asked this a few weeks ago, but zero responses .... |

If there is anything even close to Wavelab's functionality in this regard in SF5, I haven't been able to find it either. We use WaveLab almost exclusively for stereo editing and CD master burning in the studio and SF as a last resort for a few specific features that WaveLab does not have, like the limited ability to redraw a wave form. Wavelab 3, particularly if you don't have a multitrack editor like Vegas and can do with the Audio Montage feature, is pretty hard to beat in a commercial environment ... and a good target for SF to aim at feature wise. That said, I like SF5 and enjoy playing around with it as it is a whole lot less like work. KAC ... |

What audio hardware are you using with Wave Lab that permits this? ASIO or Wave drivers? Peter |

Were I saw it was WaveLab and an RME interface. I have since learned that RME proposed a spec (TAS ?)to enable this (needs hardware specially designed), but nobody else has implemented it. |
