Subject:SF Acid 3,0 Beta

Hi.I have downloaded the Beta of Acid 3.0 and I found it
marvellous.Just a problem. When I open a project with more
than 10 tracks and some fx, the playback is not fluid, and
each 1 second / 1.5 second it stops than re-play and so on.
The system is ok, I got a PIII 700 256 Mb Ram, no
applications in RAM [only Explorer and AudioHQ of my
SBLive!]...Even if I re.install it, the problem remains.
Do someone know how can I make this problem disappear ?
Thanks a lot.

Hello I have a very simalar system and I solved the problem
by going into options and increasing the buffer under the
audio tab I put it at about 0.75.

See ya

Hi There,

Try what Rockitglider suggested. But if that doesn't work try closing all of your FX windows. I find that the FX
windows slows down the playback. Also check to see what kind of video card you have. You might have to go
down on color scale. Going from 16-bit down to 256 or if you are using 32/24 bit colour then go down to 16-bit
color under ->control panel -> display -> seetings (tab)

Check out my solution I posted in this forum, it will explain your problem and some solutions which involes
CPU, RAM, and Video Cards.

If you are using to many FX, especially compressors, you'll probably have to bump up the RAM. Maybe add
another 128MB. Your CPU is not the problem.

What i find strange is that the first days I installed it I
could record some songs...Even now, if I record then
play... everything is allright.So, I really can't
understand my PC behaviour... Anyway, i am going to buy
another 256 MB Ram to pump up it to 512 and perhaps it can
be right [I hope].Even because i'd like to buy the Acid 3.0
final...but also 'd like to use it...Eh eh eh.
If u have any suggestion about setting up my PC to work at
best... you're welcome...and my email is : cgonella@aruba.it
Bye everyone there.
