Subject:Selecting events without using the mouse

Hi everyone,
time for what might be a very laughable question.

For serious medical reasons, I've just recently come back to music-making after a substantially long break.
And yes, my number 1 choice to start making music again was ACID Pro!

In the past, I used to rely heavily on the mouse to navigate around the timeline.
But now, I've decided to start learning all the keyboard shortcuts, for which there are many :)
After seaching high and low,but with no luck, for a very basic one , I resorted to ask, nicely, here in the ACID forum for some help.

When editing events in the timeline I'd like to be able to select/choose events from other tracks other then from the one I'm working on.
In other words what keyboard command permits me to navigate through every single event in the timeline and then selecting the one I want.........without using the mouse?
Even if that means first going through a lot of events before getting to the one I want.

With all the keyboard shorcuts that abound for editing and navigating with only the keyboard, I just can't find this most basic one!?

Anyone an idea?
Thanks for your time.
Cheers

I'm at work, so I'm not sure, but isn't it just the tab button? Scrolls through everything.

All keyboard shortcuts are in the pdf manual.

Thanks for the response :)

But Tab only cycles focus from Tracks Timeline > Bus Tracks Timeline > Bus Tracks Track List > Tracks Track List and back to Tracks Timeline.
And I had already combed the pdf with no luck.
I'm guessing there is no way other than using the mouse.
I'm amazed that such an obvious feature would be missing from the current version of ACID Pro.

Selecting events practically uses all the standard selection techniques available in Windows...which means they all use the mouse. (Like Ctrl + left-clicking selects specific elements.)

There's no specific command that I can see either under Options > Customize Keyboard. Maybe something on the wishlist?

Thanks for the reply!

You'd think scrolling through all the events on the timeline with only the use of the keyboard would be an obvious shortcut....but it <gasp> doesn't seem like it.

If there were those commands available in the Customize Keyboard Option Dialog I could assign for example Ctrl+Shift+Right/Left arrow to cycle through the events forward/backwards on a track and Ctrl+Up/Down arrow to go up and down in the timeline window.

Maybe for 7.0e?

Cheers
Anthony
