I have Acid 2 installed in my system. I'm planning to upgrade to 3.0. Do I need to uninstall 2.0 before installing 3.0? or can they live together peacefully? |

That should be okay. I have them both on my Win2K machine and haven't seen any problems. Ted |

Hi There, I have both versions (Pro versions) living together in seperate directories. You might want to do that first because I've had lots of problems in 3.0 with loops syncing when you assign your loops to physical, multiple line outputs. In Acid 2.0 Pro you can assign directly what channel (line output) you want per loop WITHOUT ASSIGNING A BUS OR CREATING A BUS. In Acid 3.0 Pro you can do that without creating multiple buses and assigning to it. I'm running Frontier Design Dakota with 2-Tango24 (total of 16 in and 16 out). Look for my posting under unsername: mattlok for more details on this situation. I've only got one posting so it should be easy to find. P.S. I'm an I.T. Manager by trade so I've tried multiple configurations and quality of parts, OS, CPU, etc. SF Technical are still looking into it. |
