If I have two versions of the same audio file with different markers/regions, is there a way to combine the two marker/region lists into one master list? I see where I can save and open them separately, but I don't see any explicit way to combine or merge two (or more) lists. Thanks! Doug |

Hi Doug, there's no such feature in SF, but you can easily merge the lists "by hand": 1. Open your wave files, save both Region lists (in SF8: menu Special, Regions List, Save As) in the "Windows Media Script File"-format as text-files. 2. Open these .txt-files in an editor (e.g. Notepad) and merge them - just add the content of the 2nd file to the end of the first one; save the file. 3. In SF, import the freshly created .txt-file (in SF8: menu Special, Regions List, Open) This should do the trick. :) Cheers Gerald |

There's a serious problem with saving/loading regions.txt files. That is that they are never the same! When I load a regions.txt file that I had previously saved, all the times are shifted! They seem to be "rounded" to 1/10 second, which won't do me at all. I need precision. Most of them are snapped to zero. I always have to go through the whole file & correct the region times. When I have recorded a few thousand voice messages for a vocal server, that is a LOT of work! |
