Subject:Acid Pro 5 - Sync problems in playback

I am importing mp3 files of a rhythm section into Acid 5 in order to record other guitar tracks. I am using Guitar Port and each file is out of sync. Would appreciate the help.

By how much are they out of sync? MP3 files, by their nature, have a bit of silence (half a second if I recall?) automatically inserted at the beginning of the track.

Also, the length of the track will determine what kind of track ACID will treat it as. e.g., a track longer than 30 seconds gets treated as Beatmapped track. ACID will do its best to match the track's original tempo, but nothing can be done about any drift that may be in the original track unless you go into the track/clip properties afterward.

(Note that I'm referring to ACID Pro 7; I believe ACID Pro 5 didn't have the feature of manually adjusting beatmap markers in the track properties.)
