How interesting. There you get an immediate response from Sonic. But if I as a user ask why I paid for a program that is NOT working,... nothing .... |

Let's see.... "The Sonic Foundry Discussion Forums are peer support areas where you can share tips and advice with other Sonic Foundry product users..." Pretty clear to me. What are you expecting? Some SF employee to spout rhetoric at us? If you've got a problem with financial issues or have a product suggestion, contact customer support. But please, don't go creeping around to different posts like a spoiled bully telling us your feelings and expecting to get a response from the staff, or anyone else for that matter. If you're having technical difficulties, fine. We're all willing to try and help you. Whining won't help the situation, however. Respectfully, Nick LaMartina |

I'm missing the respect in your 'respectfully' but let's see. What exactly did you contribute? All I'm saying is that I've payed for a program that is not working and got no response from Sonic so far on that issue. Not be able to sync ACID to a sequencer might be a major issue for some users. All I got so far is that everybody's blaming me. Well who managed to sync ACID to anything so far? Share your experience with me. And I mean to run ACID as slave not master. |

To get back to the original post, if you would like to upgrade to ACID Pro 3.0 from your current ACID Music 2.0, the cost would be $299.99. This can be done through our Customer Service Department at 1800.577.6642. |

Outrage, Actually, I don't have to contribute anything. Neither do you. That's the beauty of this situation. But check my other post I sent yesterday to read my input on the issue. Anyway, I'd be glad to share my experience with you as soon as I get ACID Pro 3 retail (which will be in a week or two). I've already tried slaving ACID Pro 2 using MTC with absolutely no problems, even when exporting MIDI clock at the same time to sync an external device. When doubling (using ACID Pro 2 as a slave and Sound Forge 5 as a master, playing both a project and project export simultaneously), the sound occasionally flanges a tad (which would be expected of ANY program), but when utilizing completely different tracks, a delay is unnoticable (testing was done using both an internal and external loopback setup on a pretty shoddy machine, mind you). As soon as I aquire ACID 3, I'll play around more and let you know what I come up with. But for now, using ACID Pro 2, I've had no problems whatsoever. Deferentially, yet apparently discourteous, Nick LaMartina |

Well, I never said ACID 2.0 does not work. Acid 3.0 is the culprit. Though MTC sync (when ACID is slave) is very loose. You get variations up to 40ms. Sometimes it flanges, the next time you hit play it's 40ms early, the next time it could be 20ms late, but with ACID 3.0 it's like the old analoge tapemachine dropout with timecode. It recognises a bit of TC then it stops again, and so on. Doesn't matter what TC format. I tried 25fps and 30fps. All other programs I try to sync (ie Cubase) just lock up fine from the same MIDI source. Regards, Steve RME London |
