I just installed the latest SF 5.0b, and the first time I used it, it exhibited some strange behaviour. I loaded 5 .mp3 files, all of which have names consisting of the song title. When they loaded, SF displayed the correct name with 3 of them, but with the other 2 it showed their names (in the upper left corner of the waveform display) as "Track 4" and "Track 5". When I saved them, the "Save As" display showed the correct names for all 5 files. Very odd. |

Mike, Sound Forge has the ability to read song titles and information from the file's ID3v1 or ID3v2 tags when you open MP3 files. If this information is present in your source file, the file's window displays the Title field from the file's ID3 tag as it's label. Hope this helps. |
