Thinking seriously about upgrading to version 7. I had 6 installed on my old machine but ran into a lot of problems with it so I uninstalled it and been using Cubase 4 and 5 since. I've recently built my own workstation. the only DAW I have on there is Cubase at the present. so my question is this, I don't want to install acid 6 on my new machine but have it registered on the Sony site and qualify for the upgrade price. Is the upgrade a standalone product or does it need to read version 6 for the install? I also want to install it on my new laptop which has windows 7 installed and wondering of any compatibility issues with 7. Also neither my workstation nor my laptop ever goes on line. What would be the process of registering this product? Regards Gabriel Message last edited on1/24/2010 8:09:07 AM by_Gabriel_. |

You don't need the previous software to install the upgrade. The upgrade is stand-alone. I have ACID Pro 7 running on my Windows 7 64-bit workstation with no problems and no previous version of ACID installed. ~jr |
