any problems? curious to hear your opinions...

- i have the folder to record to set to a specific drive. it is recording to the project folder instead and clearly has d: selected in prefs. had no prob with 7c. reset the prefs, same prob.

- 7d is suppose to fix soft synth interface redraw. i still get weirdness when a 2nd ss is added...

7d has fixed a lot of my third party vst plug-in issues. I had to restart 7c several times to be able to recognize my plug-ins. Now they load smoothly on 7d every single time.

The PushTec Eq now loads as an effect as it should. It was loading as a vsti in AP7c.
I almost inquired about this a few times but found workarounds. A little vst to dx wrapper which was prone to crash or use it in wavepad prior to rendering(not fun, set then render, no realtime adjustments)

It was fine in Cakewalk MC5.

It is free. It sounds great.

I had actually forgotten about it until I read your post. I have been using the PSP sQuad with no problems in AP7c and d.

Can you provide some specific examples of the "wierdness" you are seeing?

i often add kitcore first and kontakt3 or 4 second and when the window pops up it still looks like kitcore even though i had closed kitcore. i have to close it and retry to add it and it works. this problem happens 50% of the time. as i've asked before, it'd be "handy" to be able to add multiple ss in a single instance.

btw, what do you think about the record to scenario i presented?

This is a known issue. The problem is not that the added softsynth is not added, it is just that ACID is displaying the previous - or first - soft-synth. The workaround is to select the track or bus of the newly added synth to show its display.

If I follow what you want...you want to add multiple soft-synths instances in a single step.

You can do this with the Plug-in Manager and the Mix Console.

Select the Soft-synths you want in the Plug-in Manager and drag them to the mix console view window. One instance of each soft-synth will be created.

This does not permit you to add multiples of the same soft-synth. There is no mechanism to do that.

So far works like a charm. I don't use soft synths or MIDI though (everything is played live on my Korgs and Kurzweilers) so can't comment on those features. Besides that, no hiccups whatsoever :)

I do love the added new features in 7. Very happy I made the upgrade !

My problem of the cursor losing focus, appears to have gone with 7d, I'm very happy about that. And all else seems O.K. as well.

thanks for the info. i'm now dragging kitcore and kontakt from my favs. cool! now if kontakt could have presets already loaded that'd be real cool! of course it's possible to save presets in kontakt. but ap7 does not preload them...can they?

No. There is now way to associate a default preset from with in ACID. Kontakt may have this ability, but I don't know.
