Hello, I have a favorite folder in explorer that is pointing to folder on an external usb drive. When the drive is not available Acid will hang at start up while creating child folders. I think what is happening is that Acid is asking me whether I want to keep the favorite folder as a shortcut but the dialogue is hidden by the splashscreen! When I start SoundForge the splashcreen disappears and a dialogue box pops up. Can anyone confirm whether this is a bug? I think one way would be to make a folder a favorite, close Acid, move or delete the folder and start Acid again. Thanks, Kit |

I have confirmed this. The simplest workaround is to ALT+Tab to find the hidden dialog to bring it forward. I have added the issue to our tracking software. Thanks Peter |

Thanks, Peter. I hadn't realised that ALT+TAB would bring the dialogue to the front. Now I'm no longer locked out of Acid. I'd prefer some option to suppress this dialogue. It's not very useful at start-up. A better solution would be for it to pop-up when the user clicks on a missing shortcut folder when using Explorer. Kit. |
