Subject:DirectX6 or DirectX8 for Acid3 ?

So one page says Dx6 is a system requirement:

And another page says Dx8 is a system requirement:

PID=462&FeatureID=4129&FeatureTL=4111

So which one is it? Im one of those users, happily running
Dx7a, that does not want to compromise my system by doing
the Dx8 upgrade at this time.

The system requirements that we need would be DirectX Media
Runtime (which was originally only available in 6).
DirectX 8 now includes Media Runtime, so your best bet
would be to update to the newer Version 8.

ACID 3 requires DirectX 8. There is no alternative.
