Subject:Mastering Effects Bundle 2 plug-ins in AP7d ?

I was pleased to see in the list of changes..........

"The Mastering Effects Bundle 2 plug-ins (available with Sound Forge Pro 10) are now available in ACID Pro"

I dont see anything new in the plugin manager.

Is this to say that they did not read properly in AP7c and now they do or that they are actually included ?

At any rate I am very happy to see all of the Reaktor5 window when used as an effect.

Thanks to the coders for your work. I check every day for an update and here it is :)

Yeh I didnt see a newsletter either aside from an add for soundforge/acid but no mention of an update. The improvement with Reaktor is huge!

I hope I am just daft and am missing the effects listed haha- Ive been shopping for mastering tools. This would be a big plus.

The mastering effects are there; they're listed under the "Audio FX" folder.

These effects plugins are now available in ACID PRO, even though I don't have SOUND FORGE PRO 10 ?

Because I do not see any new plugins after installing 70d.
No where in the AUDIO FX folder.

No. The plugins are part of sf10. ACID 7c could not see them. 7.0d permits there use, if you own Sound Forge 10.

I really enjoyed using Acid Pro 6, so much so, that really, the only reason I upgraded to Pro 7 was to stay on top of the curve. But aside from Izotope's Effects Rack and the basic Native Instruments Guitar Rig, there really weren't any improvements to the software that affected my use of the program. But I was fine about it.

So when I saw in the recent "version d update release notes" that "The Mastering Effects Bundle 2 plug-ins (available with Sound Forge Pro 10) are now available in ACID Pro." I thought to myself "Wow, Sony must have realized that they need to add some value to this version or nobody's gonna buy it." And you know what? They do.

I was okay about it until I read that unbelievably misleading line. But it got my hopes up and it started me thinking. Now that those hopes are dashed, I gotta say...I'm feeling a little ripped off.

I'm not saying that we should get something for nothing, but I will say that Pro 7 feels more like Pro 6.25 than a whole new version. If I had the choice to do it over again, I would have kept Pro 6, spent the money on a Mastering Effects software bundle, and been much happier.

Bad job Sony.

Agreed.......I feel totally ripped off! I thought I'd be getting that mastering bundle in the new update. Thanks for misleading me SONY! All I've ever done is be a loyal patron......is this my reward? I hope you make up for it by fixing your mistype, or include it in version 8.0

Yeah.... I was a little excited when I read the list of features (and the plugins) in 7.0d, but now dissappointed. Oh well, I guess I'll continue my migration off of Acid Pro to Reaper. Reaper made a ton of enhancements with MIDI (in v3.1), so much so, there really is nothing that ACID can do for me anymore. That's a shame too, because I've been using ACID since 2001.

It has just gotten stale and boring.

Working toward it. So far, so good! :)

I have been a ACID proponent for a long time, but the software is feeling more and more like a VB application made to work with audio vs. an application writen for music production and post-production.

Let me offer my apologies.

It's one of those bullets that seemed clear when written -- that we were now supporting the Mastering Effects Bundle 2 if it was already installed on your system -- but in light of your comments, I can see how the text could be misinterpreted.

At any rate, the text has been revised to prevent further confusion. Thank you for supporting ACID.

Thanks for the apology, mistakes happen and I guess things can get a little heated quite quickly. Computers are infuriating arn't they?

You really don't need to apologize. the revision is good enough.

By the way, ACID PRO 70d is running great ! No problems here.
