Is there any system changes you have made in the last couple days (i.e. new programs installed, new hardware installed)? (before you continue, make sure you create a backup of any files you currently working on). Try Uninstalling the software from the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs. Once un-installed, make sure you do not have the Soft Endcode Program Files Folder deleted and reinstall the software. |

Well, trying to find a good software to encode Dolby Digital and unable to find a demo of SoftEncode that would allow to burn to CD and actually test the product, I ended up trying a cracked version of softencode. I am not sure if it a crack related bug, but mine quitted too after encoding 30-40 secs. The resulting file would always be 3.61 mb. I was using win98SE. Wanting to really make this thing work, I finally got it running only by using windows 2000 pro. I don't know why, but it stopped crashing once I used this os. Same system, same configuration. Now, moving on, I would like to buy the damn thing, now that I know it really works. Where can I do this? I can't find it on the site... |
