Making controller work

I have an Evolution UC-33 controller that is connected to a USB port on my Vista 64 computer. This product is now owned by M-Audio. The controller has been accepted by Vista and I have selected it as a Mackie controller emulator in Vegas but I can't get anything to happen when I use either the mixer section or transport section.

I have selected it under Oprions/Preferences/Midi also.

I record 8 tracks simultaneously on a Korg D888 at church and then bring those tracks into Vegas. I would like to use the controller to automate a mixdown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I can see from the documentation for the UC-33, it does not have any Mackie emulation capability, so setting it up as a Mackie emulator in Vegas is never going to work.

But you should be able to get something working using the less ambitious "Generic Control" methods described in the manual.

Thanks, Mark, I'll see what I can get it to do. The problem is I don't really know where to start and I believe that the Mackie emulation appeared in the dropdown box when I turned on the controller which is why I chose it.
