I have midi/audio files in Power Tracks Pro Audio, which I want to record onto a cd as audio. I was told that I should "record into" Sound Forge as a .wav file. Is this possible?????? Thank you for any help! |

Randallg, Yes, it is possible. Here's how: 1. Double-click on the little yellow speaker on the lower right hand side of your screen. It's in the Windows toolar. 2. Click OPTIONS, then PROPERTIES. 3. Click the radio button labeled "RECORDING". 4. Look at the list below. Make sure "MIDI" checked. 5. Click OK. 6. Now look the channel labeled "MIDI". Click the SELECT box underneath it so a check mark appears. 7. Close the mixer. 8. Open PowerTracks and load your song. Leave the program open. 9. Go to Sound Forge and create a new recording file. 10. Click "RECORD" in Sound Forge (recording begins). 11. Move to PowerTracks. 12. Hit "PLAY" to play your song. 13. When the song finishes, go back to Sound Forge and stop the recording. 14. You now have a recorded SEQ file. Trim up the blank edges, and voila! You are ready to slap the recording onto a CD. Hope this helps, Nick LaMartina |
