How do I record the audio coming in from a rewire device?
Thanks

I'm no ReWire guru but, as I understand it, any ReWire device that's connected to ACID (like in a master/slave situation) will have its audio rendered out with the ACID project. (The caveat being the ReWire device has to be open in order for the audio to get rendered.)

the rewire audio comes to acid through a virtual instrument channel. I would like to record the audio playing through that channel onto a separate track. I have just graduated from acid 4 to pro7. In 4 when the record button is clicked a record screen appears in which i can select exactly where to record from. I have not yet found that option in pro7.
Thanks for the input

ACID does not allow you to record the output of a ReWire device to an audio track. This has always been this way, even with the old recording paradigm that ACID Pro 4 has.

FWIW: You set the record source for an audio track from the track header on the main time line or using the Mix Console track's channel strip.
