How can I stop Acid or any Sony products from scanning VSTs when I start the program. |

Yes. ACID will listen to the following command line argument: /NOVSTGROVEL or -NOVSTGROVEL This will prevent ACID from scanning at start up. You can still scan manually from the Plug-in Manager View. This includes both VST FX and Instruments. Peter |

On the ACID icon you use to start ACID from your desktop, right click and select "Properties". Locate the "Target" edit box. You wil see something like: "F:\Program Files\Sony\ACID Pro 7.0\acid70.exe" Change this to: "F:\Program Files\Sony\ACID Pro 7.0\acid70.exe" -NOVSTGROVEL Note that the quotations are VERY important to remain as shown. If not, Windows may yell at you or ACID may fail to start. When you start ACID from this ICON - not every place you can start ACID - i.e. the Start Menu - ACID will NOT scan for VST FX and VST Instruments.
