Don´t know if anybody else have experienced this, but among all the other bugs, the Auto trim/crop-function is completely unusable in SF5. I use the AT/C to cut out speak for multimedia-productions, using the "remove silence, creates regions"-function. I normally make a bounce-file with min. 2,5 sec silence between the phrases, and set the AT/C´s min. interphrase accordingly. When I run it, the AT/C crops out the 2,5 sec silence between the phrases and makes regions, as it is supposed to. But it also trims the spaces between the words in each phrase (not creating regions), no matter how I set Threshold or Interphrase Silence-parameters. Even worse, it sometimes takes the beginning of a word, and repeat it right after, like "S-Stupid". I´ve been using the AT/C-function in the earlier versions for 4 years or so, and I have never encountered this problem before I switched to SF5.0. This problem has caused me to stop using the SF5.0, as I can´t deliver corrupted files to my paying clients. In a busy month we deliver something like 20000+ files for CD- ROM games, and it is NOT an option to listen thru, and correct, all of them. I´ll be glad to mail examples of this bug to you at SF, if you care to look at the problem. |
