I've used Acid a bit and found out that Sonic Foundry is
much more complex. Now what i was wondering is if you can
do the same thing you do with Acid in sound foundry. What
i mean is when you are recording a second track in Acid it
plays the first track with it so you can play along. Now
in sonic foundry i have yet to find a way to do this, can
this be done and how? Thanks

Sound Forge is only a stereo (or two track) editor, not a
multitrack editor like you are wanting. Sonic Foundry makes
a multitrack editor, Vegas Audio. I have Vegas and use
Sound Forge as my editor and it works great! Try out the
download of Vegas and you will see it is easy to use and is
very powerful.MM.

Thanks for that info, guess that shows my ignorance :) Now
one more question, what is the difference between Acid and
Vegas? And which do you think is more powerful? And by
powerful i mean more presise, grr i cant think of the word,
you get my point right? hehe

Acid and Vegas are really two completely different
products. They look similar, but they are quite
different. Acid is a music creation program that allows
you to arrange loops to create songs. Vegas is a
multitrack recorder/editor. Acid has some editing
features, but it is not meant to be a full-on audio
editor. Vegas has many more editing features. You can
record no more than one than one track at a time into Acid,
but you can record multiple simultaneous tracks into
Vegas. These are just the main differences, there are many
more. Feel free to download the demo versions of both
programs and try them for seven days.
