Subject:Latency on playback (Via Line 6 Toneport)

I've got Acid music studio 6.0b (build 81) and I'm running a Line 6 Toneport GX into it for guitar tracking. In the audio tab of preferences, I've got the box checked to automatically detect latency, but I'm still getting latency. Please help.

Could you describe what you mean by latency?

Latency when you playback softsynths live?
Latency being when you record you recording does not align with what was already on the time line?

Something else?
