Subject:Sound Forge and NT

I was unable to load the beta version of 5.0 on WinNT4.0-SP4. Phone support said it wouldn't load on NT. On
another forum people stated that they were running SF5.0 on WInNT with SP6a. I loaded 6a and tried 5.0
again with no luck. I think it corrupted the registery because I never got a proper un-install of 5.0. If I re-format
and load Service Pack 6a, will it install or do I indeed have to go to Win2000? I prefer NT if it's at all possible.

Technically, Sound Forge 5.0 is not supported under Windows
NT 4.0. This means that it has not been tested and we will
not be able to troubleshoot any issues that may come up.
The program may or may not run on an unsupported OS.

Sound Forge 5 is not supported under the NT platform. This
means that the application has never been tested under that
OS. Having said that we did nothing to intentionally break
compatibility. However since the NT OS is not supported
our technical support department would not be able to help
in troubleshooting any issues that you would encounter
using the application. I personally have talked to users
that have had Forge 5 installed on an NT system and
everything was working properly. Except for the .avi stuff
wich requires DX 8. If you format and reinstall NT that
would be the best chance of getting the application to
install and run. If you decide to do this it would be a use
at your own risk venture though. If you want to be able to
use Forge 5 and be able to get help with any problems that
you have using the product i would suggest installing 2k.
